Hundreds of people lined the streets of Doddington on Saturday as the village’s annual carnival and sports afternoon returned.
The static parade was a highlight in the morning, with dozens of floats decorated by local schoolchildren and groups like the beavers and scouts.

The action then moved on to the recreation ground in the afternoon for the traditional sports day, which also hosted many stall holders and the chance to join sessions run by Insane Terrain and March Cricket Club.
After the races, each child that participated received a medal for taking part.
A spokesman for the volunteer-run committee, which organised the event, said: "The Doddington Sports and Carnival committee would like to say thank you to everyone for the huge support this year.
"The carnival was a little different this year but, despite the challenges we have faced, it was a great day and we as a committee have loved it. The sports afternoon was great fun for all, too.
