Several police cars, ambulances and air ambulance descenced on Chatteris high street yesterday - here's why.
While rumours spread on social media about the incident, which saw Park Street closed by police, The Cambs Times has contacted Cambridgeshire Constabulary to confirm the details of what happened.
They have given the following statement.
"Police were called at 5.22pm yesterday (Tuesday July 11) to reports of a sudden death in Park Street, Chatteris.
"Officers, paramedics and air ambulance attended, and a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The death is being treated as non-suspicious."
