A teenager from Chatteris who regularly clears up the local area was hard at work again over the weekend.
Joseph Beer, who has lived in the town all his life, first started removing litter and cleaning road signs during lockdown.
The 18-year-old studies carpentry, brickwork, painting and decorating at the College of West Anglia in Wisbech.
He said: “I do it because the council won't do it and I want to make my town look better.”
He added that, depending on what he’s doing, he could be there an hour or he could be there all day.
“It all depends on when I get the time to do it as to when I can do it, because I don't get much free time.
“But I'd probably say I clean the local area for at least six hours a month,” he said.
“Sometimes I won't get anything done in a month but mostly I do.”
