A local council has issued a plea to parents after a spate of "soul-destroying" vandalism at a village playing field and pavilion.
Wimblington & Stonea Parish Council said they have had to put anti-climbing paint on items at the Wimblington War Memorial Playing Field and on the roof of the pavilion in a bid to stop damage.
In a statement issued on Facebook, the council said: "It's sometimes soul-destroying trying to keep our village looking good and not being ruined by vandals.
"The message sent to us by those who do all the damage is clear when they rip down the warning signs.

"Mums and dads, everything that is damaged and then replaced is an additional cost, which is reflected in what you pay in Council Tax.
"Recently, we also have had damage in the gazebo at the cemetery and have had to have repairs done twice."
The council ended their post by stressing the importance of the War Memorial Playing Field and cemetery being respected by all who use it.
