After weeks of mixed weather, temperatures across Cambridgeshire are set to soar with weather forecasts predicting a mini heatwave.

The long-awaited hot weather comes after well above-average rainfall figures in the first half of the month, including a weather warning for rain on Tuesday (July 16) evening.

Just this week, the Met Office announced a yellow weather warning for rain covering the whole county.

The agency also warned that areas may be at risk of localised flooding.

But, on Friday (July 18) temperatures in Cambridgeshire could reach close to 30C before milder conditions return on Sunday.
