Staff at Magpas Air Ambulance have received special medals for their hard work in Cambridgeshire.

On July 30, Magpas Air Ambulance staff were presented with The King and Queen's Coronation medals as a 'thank you' present from the nation.

The deputy lord lieutenant of Cambridgeshire, Chris Parkhouse, presented the medals to Magpas doctors and critical care paramedics.

Daryl Brown MBE DL, Magpas Air Ambulance CEO, added: "We are so happy to see our amazing doctors, paramedics and pilots included in The King & Queen’s Coronation medals distribution, and we are very thankful to the deputy lord lieutenant for awarding the medals in person on behalf of His Majesty The King.

"The recipients of the medal are a rare and wholly deserving type of person and we are delighted to have over 30 of these exceptional individuals qualify in their time with Magpas Air Ambulance.

"These clinicians selflessly serve our communities, treating patients in extreme life-threatening emergencies, 24/7. We hope they will provide the team with a welcome boost as they continue to save lives around the clock this summer."
