Students at a Chatteris school collected their GCSE results today.

Jane Horn, executive headteacher at Cromwell Community College, which is part of The Active Learning Trust, expressed her pride in this year’s cohort.

She said: “We are thrilled to mark another year of strong GCSE results at Cromwell, with the majority of our students advancing to their chosen post-16 pathways.

“Many of our pupils are set to join Cromwell Sixth Form in September, while others will pursue apprenticeships or college courses.

“A special mention should go to Dariia who came here in November 2022 as a Ukrainian refugee.”

“It is incredibly rewarding to see their efforts culminate in such positive results.

“I want to acknowledge the remarkable commitment of our learners, staff, and families who have supported each other throughout this period,” she added.

“Students have demonstrated exceptional commitment and perseverance in their studies.

“We are proud to see many achieve top grades, reflecting their hard work and determination,” she added.

“As educators, it brings us immense satisfaction to witness our students thrive and succeed.

“Our staff consistently go above and beyond to support and encourage, and I am profoundly grateful for their dedication and professionalism,” Jane concluded.

Lynsey Holzer, CEO of The Active Learning Trust, also shared her pride for the students.

She said: “I am overjoyed with the achievements of our Year 11 students.

“Their results are a testament to their hard work and determination.

“I also want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the staff and families who have been instrumental in supporting them throughout their time at Cromwell Community College.”
