An electricity pylon on fire in Wisbech is now under control, Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue has said.
Fire crews were called at 11:50am to find the blaze in Oldfield Lane had spread to nearby hedging and trees.
Tyres and rubbish at a neighbouring scrapyard as well as a garage were also affected.
A spokesperson for the fire service said three crews – from Wisbech, March and Norfolk – were sent to the scene.
They are using specialist hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze.
Police also attended the incident to support the firefighters.
A Cambridgeshire Constabulary spokesperson said: "The Wisbech Neighbourhood Poling Team supported Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue at a Fire on Oldfield Lane, Wisbech this afternoon.
"It is reported that there was an electrical fire at the scene and UK Power Networks are attending.
"There were no reported injuries at the scene and the fire is now under control. Cambs Fire and Rescue attended from Wisbech, March and West Walton."
A spokesperson from UK Power Networks explained there have been no power outages reported in the area.
He said: "Engineers were called to an overhead line fault near Oldfield Lane in Wisbech at 12:56 today.
"There have been no reported power outages, but we are investigating the fault and will make any necessary repairs to maintain power supplies to the local area."
Firefighters had returned to their stations just after 3pm.
The cause of the fire is said to be accidental.
