A community festival raised £1,500 for a new defibrillator.

EstaFest, held in March, on August 9/10, 2024, made the contribution to the Defibrillators for March initiative.

The funds will be used to purchase and install the 43rd defibrillator in the town.

The festival organisers highlighted the importance of having an automated external defibrillator (AED) accessible within three minutes of any location, as it significantly increases the chances of survival from sudden cardiac arrest.

The community-led festival, which is a registered community interest company, focuses on supporting the local community.

It works with local vendors and businesses, and showcases local talent, including unsigned artists and drama groups.

The festival features performances and entertainment for the whole family, including boxercise, Bamboogie Entertainment, Timewarp Disco, Spiderman, dinosaurs, solo artists, bands, drama group 20Twenty Productions, and DJs The Throwback Guys.

EstaFest, which relies on sponsorships as it operates without a financial reserve, is already gearing up for its 2025 edition.
