An award-winning restaurant and bar has been forced to close for the "foreseeable future" following a fire.

The blaze broke out at The Warehouse Taproom Bar and Restaurant in Setchey shortly after 8pm on Thursday.

Fire crews from King's Lynn, Terrington and Downham Market quickly made their way to the scene in Garage Lane.

A spokeswoman for The Warehouse confirmed there was no staff at the business at the time of the fire.

The fire was contained to the kitchen area which has been left "significantly damaged".

"We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Norfolk Fire Service and Police for their swift and professional response," she said.

Daniel Clark, director said: "This is obviously a difficult situation for us, but we are incredibly fortunate that no one was hurt.
