A freight rain crashed into a delivery van at a level crossing in a Fenland town on Tuesday, causing disruption to services across the East of England.
Network Rail said the crash happened at Silt Lane Level crossing near March just before 3pm on October 15.
It confirmed rail services between between Peterborough and Ely were suspended while staff worked with emergency services to remove the vehicle.
A spokesperson added that trains resumed running at 5:30pm.
The British Transport Police added that the incident happened near March Railway Station.
A spokesperson said: "Officers attended and there were no reports of any injuries.
"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
