October Supermoon glowing in the skies over Cambridgeshire

Readers from across Cambridgeshire captured the October Supermoon on camera.

The Hunter's Moon, so called, due to traditions of hunting in October to store food for winter, is the brightest supermoon of the year.

(Image: TJ Henson.) Supermoons occur when the moon is closest to the Earth so it appears larger and much brighter than normal. This means up to 15 per cent brighter and 30 per larger than a regular full moon.
