A kickboxing team from the Fens will represent England at a competition in Europe.
RKA Kickboxing Academy, which is based in March, has a team of nine who have been selected to represent WKO Team England at the Unified European Championships in Arnsberg, Germany.
Stuart Harris, who runs the academy, said: "Our team will see some of the students from the academy take part in continuous kickboxing, K1 kickboxing (where we use knees too) and boxing."
The RKA team representing the UK ranges from the age of nine to 50.
They are:
- Max Przade (9) Kickboxing
- Radley Webb (9) Kickboxing
- Alfie Youens (11) Kickboxing
- Thomas Davey (12) Kickboxing
- Ollie Connolly (16) Kickboxing & Boxing
- Stephen Davey (17) Kickboxing & K1 Kickboxing
- Harry Watson (18) Kickboxing & K1 Kickboxing
- Gage Coe (26) Kickboxing & Boxing
- Stuart Harris (50) Kickboxing
"The team have been working incredibly hard and even training at 6am before heading off to school or work to prepare them for this amazing experience and to have the best opportunity to bring back gold to Fenland," said Mr Harris.
RKA is also preparing its chief instructor Paige for her debut in Thai boxing as she heads into action in Essex a few days after the group's return from Germany.
The Saturday after representing England, five of the team will also travel to Tilbury to compete in a pro show.
"As a coach, words don’t explain how proud of each and every one I am and the level that they have risen to."
