Many pensioners in the Fenland district are not claiming a benefit that qualifies them for the Winter Fuel Allowance.
North East Cambs Labour is urging the families, friends, and neighbours of these pensioners to check their eligibility and apply for the Pension Credit before December 21.
The benefit not only provides additional financial support but also automatically qualifies claimants for Winter Fuel Allowance.
Pensioners with weekly incomes above the £218 threshold (£333 for couples) may still qualify if they are carers, have a disability, or have savings under £10,000.

Chairman of NE Cambs Labour, Councillor Martin Field said: “We estimate from local and national government figures that 1,421 people in Fenland still aren't claiming the Pension Credit they're entitled to.
“Fenland Labour is determined to get as many local pensioners signed up for Pension Credit as we can.
"It's easier and quicker than you'd think."
The eligibility criteria and application process can be found on the government website.
The party is urging people to check their eligibility and "do everything you can to encourage them to apply."
