The Mayor of March cut the ribbon on an opticians in the town which has had a £70,000 makeover.

Specsavers, on Broad Street, held an in-store party to officially reopen their store after the refurbishment, which included the installation of an updated optical coherence tomography (OCT) machine.

This equipment can help detect conditions like glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration up to four years earlier than other methods.

Gary Christy, the Mayor of March, officially opened the store with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
