A teenage boy has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a fire broke out on a boat in a Fenland town.
Emergency services were called to Wherry Close in March at 8.13pm on Monday (November 25).
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: “The boat broke free from its mooring due to the blaze and, as a result, caused damage to two other vessels.
“Fire crews and police attended the scene of the blaze, which is thought to have been started deliberately.
“No injuries were reported.
“A 15-year-old boy from March has been arrested on suspicion of arson and going equipped to steal. He remains in custody.”
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service added: "At 8.08pm crews from March, Stanground and Dogsthorpe were called to a boat fire on Ashbeach Road in March.
"Firefighters used hose reels to extinguish the boat fire and returned to their stations by 9.40pm."
