Two Cambridgeshire swimming clubs took to the waters over the weekend in a jam-packed two days of swimming.

Both the March Marlins, based in March, and the St Ives Swimmers, based in St Ives, met at the Cambridge Grand Prix 2024 competition on October 19. The competition is a Level Two competition for qualified swimmers only.

At the March Marlins, Mason Riley gained his PB in the 50m backstroke and 100m freestyle, while Harry Rickard achieved his on the 50m backstroke, and Jude Staton scored his best on the 50m freestyle and 200m backstroke.

Layla Burdett, Josh Marshall, Bertie Titheridge and Lois Cannon all swam at the Cambridge Grand Prix for the St Ives Swimmers, where all of the club's swimmers swam, "exceptionally well", with some picking up season and lifetime bests.

The March Marlins scored 58 personal bests at their challenge with many Marlins picking up medals.

30 of the St Ives Swimmers visited the Whittlesey meet and had a successful time there too.
