March Bears' second-string squad triumphed over West Norfolk Seconds with a 26-12 victory.

The match, played at Elm Road, showcased the notable development of March Bears Rugby Club over the past few years as they fielded a full squad of 23 reserves.

The game was dynamic and engaging, with March opening the scoring within 14 minutes.

Scott Conway assisted man-of-the-match Kyle Stanford, who scored under the posts.

Sam Howat converted the try, marking his return after a serious shoulder dislocation.

West Norfolk retaliated in the 25th minute, with their pack scoring from a ruck, bringing the score to 7-5.

The first half concluded without further scoring, despite the game ebbing and flowing with chances for both sides.

The second half saw March extending their lead just six minutes in.

After a dominant scrum, substitute Ed Harwin picked up the ball, broke through multiple tackles, and scored, raising the score to 12-5.

In the 67th minute, Owen Luck capitalised on a West Norfolk error from their own scrum.

The ball was heeled too hard and sped past the West Norfolk defence, leading to a converted try by Sam Howat, further widening the gap.

West Norfolk, despite their valiant efforts, began to tire.

March's second-row Luke Fey then gathered the ball from a loose play, slicing through the Norfolk defence to score.

In the final move of the game, their fly-half broke through several tackles, scoring a converted try and bringing the final score to 26-12.
